As technology evolves, people have considered it to be a very beneficial tool that helps us with a variety of things. However, many of us have not considered the impact it has on our kids. Our kids are becoming more "exhausted". Why may that be? Thanks to Frank Bruni an American journalist who published his article in the New York Times where he collaborate with teenagers. He found that teenagers are stressed out and are getting a lack of sleep, he also finds that technology has a great impact on said age group. Furthermore, Bruni, also discusses on the how they are fatigued, having to take multiple AP classes and extracurricular activities. A lot of times this is due to parents filling up their own children 's schedule, this type of parenting is known as helicopter parenting. From experience of being one of those worn out kids, I agree with most of Bruni 's argument, students today are more spread thin than ever before trying to keep up with such a competitive world. However, I do not agree that all teenagers fit into that category as it is impossible to say that any age group thinks or acts the same. First off, let us go back to the point where I mentioned technology. Even though Bruni 's essays barely skins over technology (smartphones and tablets to be exact). I strongly agree with what he discusses for example, he states " smartphones and tablets aggravate the problem, keeping kids connected long after lights out" all of which can cause " mental and physical damage" as Pope told Bruni, Pope is a senior lecturer at Stanford. Having gone through such an experience I must agree with Bruni, it does cause a strain on teenagers causing them to be hyped up or stressed
