Overall, the book is a great read, even for those who do not enjoy
This book had a great plot that never became boring. Once I was kinda was getting bored with the book some new problem would arise
All in all, I significantly enjoyed this book, Lockdown, by Gordon Smith. This book is by far the most thrilling and horrific book I have ever read. I enjoyed this book so greatly, because of how well Gordon Smith explained certain aspects of his writing with great emotion and detail. Another feature I liked about this book was how intense it was, and how while reading, I was on the edge of my seat and wanting to read more. Also, throughout the book, I enjoyed the characters that take place in this story.
When I first started reading it, I thought that it was going to be really boring because it was about history. But as I got further along in the book, I realized that it was not just a typical history book. Michael Shaara had written the book in a way so that it was easy for us to experience the American Civil War with the soldiers on the field. The different sections of the book were written so that it was from each individual’s point of view, which I found quite interesting. Michael Shaara approached this book in a different manner and I think it really did the book some justice.
Which in my opinion makes it more interesting. These are some of the reasons why I like the book and reasons why you should read the book sometime in the
The writing in the chapters is very detail oriented and it makes it very easy to imagine what is going on. A lot of times throughout the book it seemed like I was right there, or it seemed like I was watching a scene from a movie.
Jubilee, a book centered around the life of a slave named Vyry (Also known as Elvira Dutton). Vyry who was born a slave had to work her life at a plantation owned by the negro loving master, John Dutton. It is also told that Vyry was the illegitimate child born from the miscegenation John did with a young slave named Hetta. The young slave died after giving birth to a huge number of children for years. The story revolves around the struggle of living a life as a slave, the so dreaded civil war, and how Vyry managed to live a peaceful life in the end.
I’ll start of with the supporting characters in the book, one word: overdramatic. Drama isn’t always my cup of tea and this book and its characters seem to love it, or that is what I felt sometimes (Maybe I’m the overdramatic one right now). For example; Melindas ex-bestfriends started ignoring her after she called the police during a party and that is relatively exaggerated to a certain degree, I get that someone would get mad but if you really are bestfriends then it wouldn’t be a problem to try to understand the situation and try to make up.
Like when Janina and Misha were hiding from the Jackboots, I never wanted to stop reading so I could find out what happened. Overall, this book was great and it taught me alot about what people were feeling throughout this horrible
That uniqueness will keep you reading for hours without stopping. I like the book, because the way the book was written, the theme, and the environment of the book. The book’s text is written as if Wyatt was the one writing the book. The book is unique from other books.
Training, discipline, sniping, and action are all things that I would enjoy reading about. Grading this book I would give it an A-, because of its in depth stories, uniqueness, and it ability to be read by anyone. Starting off my reasons for this books grade are the in depth and detailed stories. Many of the stories have a lot of information in a small amount of writing. This makes it an easy book to read that also produces a lot of interest to keep reading.
I would recommend this book to any teenage girl who won’t mine wasting tissues for tears and will not mine getting angry at characters. I would recommend this book to a teenage girl because of all of the romance and usually boy aren’t in to those things. If you are up for the challenge, I will recommend this book to you. All I have to say if you decide to read this novel, fasten your seat belts and enjoy the ride through a page-turning journey, the loops the author puts you threw from her described word choice and the swift pace you’re put on by the
The beginning of the book, the hook, was exciting and encouraged me to read more. Unfortunately, despite the book's good sides, there was much violence in some instances. Even though some of the cases make the book even better, some of the violence seems too much. Overall, a reader feels good after reading the book and would recommend it to others, especially those who enjoy action and
This book was interesting for me because it allowed me to relate to a character. I love reading novels that not only allow me to feel a connection with a character, but allow me to relate to their personality or
I was pretty disappointed by this book. Hardly any action. I have read a lot of books by frank peretti and he usually like to write horror books. I guess that was what i was hoping to find in this book. I like adventure book.
