Gordon Smith wrote the book, Lockdown : Escape From Furnace. I really enjoyed reading this book for a few reasons. One reason that I really enjoyed about this book was how well Gordon Smith explained certain aspects of his writing with great emotion and detail. Another thing I liked about this book was that he never ended a chapter without having me thinking what was going to happen next. He continually kept me engaged and interested throughout the whole book. Throughout the book, I also enjoyed the characters that take place in the story. The emotion and well used detail throughout Lockdown is what kept me interested while reading this book. Gordon Smith would describe the characters, certain scenes, and many other things so well, I could produce great imagery “The creature’s face was human-ravaged and mangled and broken, yes, but still with eyes and a nose and a gaping mouth. The skin was marked with fresh wounds, as if a child had been trying to decorate it with a knife, It was naked, but there was something wrong with its skin, like it had been cut open and had something stitched underneath. Muscles bulged everywhere, flexing each time it moved and occasionally even splitting the skin with their size” …show more content…

All in all, I significantly enjoyed this book, Lockdown, by Gordon Smith. This book is by far the most thrilling and horrific book I have ever read. I enjoyed this book so greatly, because of how well Gordon Smith explained certain aspects of his writing with great emotion and detail. Another feature I liked about this book was how intense it was, and how while reading, I was on the edge of my seat and wanting to read more. Also, throughout the book, I enjoyed the characters that take place in this story. In the future, I can see myself reading the other books in this series written by, Gordon Smith. I recommend this book to anyone that loves a thrilling and scary book. I also don 't recommend this book to anyone who gets scared easily and has
