Girl Power and Men Global Perspective In this article, Sherri Daye Scott explains that girl power has uplifted women but has also in some way failed men. She believes that a woman can do anything a man can, and example of this is when she writes “Show me a man’s accomplishments, and I’ll raise you a woman who did the same or close to it” (Scott 2017). She explains that relationships are better when they are based on who the person is rather than who they need to be. Sherri Scott emphasizes that feminism has encouraged women and girls to be who they want to be but because of gender roles, men feel like they have to be breadwinners and when they are not they believe that they are not masculine.
