According to John Rico, soldiers take photos because they want to remember what actually happens during war. Rico says, “The desire to document surreal experiences is a normal human motivation. “ When the topic of war is mentioned, an immediate image of fighting, blood, missiles, and guns might be the picture that comes to mind. This picture could be the results of searching “war” on Google. What must be taken into account is that these are real people, just like you and me. This pleasure might be sick and twisted, but it stimulates the brain. Similarly, if everyone is insane, then how insane one is becomes what the world says about them. A pedophile is known for being a mentally-ill person, whereas someone who plays with their hair does not get any attention. King is trying to explain that everyone is insane but everyone expresses it differently. Horror movies interest everyone in some way, because we are all insane.
