The article “Gay Families Are Changing Society for the Worse” is about the ways that the gay population has been affecting the heterosexual normality of the United States. It mainly focuses on the state of Massachusetts. Brian Camenker starts of by explaining how homosexuality is starting to be taught in schools. Camenker says that one school had an assembly that had guest speakers and introduced openly homosexual teachers who said that they were going to marry their partners. Camenker does not agree with schools teaching the youth about homosexuality and believes that parents should be able to opt their children out of those types of lessons. Camenker goes on to explain how homosexual education in schools has increased to an almost pornographic level. Camenker brings up one march where politicians marched along side with the “Dyke March” where topless women walked to show their transformation into men. Throughout the article, Camenker uses many different examples of how homosexual couples are getting more benefits than heterosexual couples. The biggest example that the author used was adoption. The article states that homosexuals are given the first choice in adoption cases regardless of the birth parents requests. At the end of the article, he discusses how the media favors the growing popularity of gay couples. More and more television shows are using same sex couples as main and supporting characters to increase their ratings. According to the article, America's future is being decided by a select few people that are going to give the gays more freedoms than heterosexual people would
