Negativity of Captivity Tilikum could be said as the world’s most famous killer whale. Although the whale entertained kids for years his story would be considered tragic. If you have ever seen the film “Blackfish” you would have learned about Tilikum and his story at Seaworld. Tilikum was born in the wild then soon caught and brought to live in Seaworld. He performed and brought joy to many kids and adults watching him, but soon the captivity took a toll on the animal.The killer whale was involved in 3 aggressive incidents all resulting in a person’s death (Iaconangelo).The news was televised and reported so much that it soon caught enough attention to be made into a documentary. The film called “Blackfish” showed people the effects of captivity on the animals living at Seaworld and how the captivity made them more aggressive towards other animals and people. No matter how long their caretakers may have known them the animals their wild instincts will always be there.
