Why don’t we call it an animal prison?
Have you heard about the accident that happened in the Tasmania Zoo, nine birds were killed and sixty animals were released, all because one person broke in the zoo and did all of this in one night. We could stop all of this from happening by not having animals in zoos. This is why animals should not be kept in zoos. There are three main reasons why I am against animals being kept in zoos, which are, one the animals are being harmed mentally. Two animals are being left vulnerable at night in zoos, three the zoos that breed their animals put back very little to no animals back into the wild.
Critics of zoos often say that animals get harmed mentally by being enclosed in zoos and by not having the space, diversity, and freedom that they would have in their natural habitat which causes stress. If the animals were not in zoos they wouldn’t have this stress. Also when they take animals from the wild causes much suffering by splitting up families says the article "Are Zoos a Good Thing?".
