The story " Barn Burning" by author William Faulkner is using a biographical strategy because the author can relate to the main character (Sarty) in the story because he also had a bad relationship with his father (Snopes). The story is about the struggle between the privileged and underprivileged classes. It showed that the black people were under white people because it was the black people who worked for the white people.Sarty was put into a position that he had to testify against his father for burning the barn of the landlord (Mr. Harris), but before Sarty could make a response the Justice said, " This case is closed. I can 't find against you, Snopes, but I can give you advice. Leave this country and don 't come back to it" (Faulkner
