Should Christians File Lawsuit? The question of whether it is appropriate for Christians to file lawsuit among others continues to be unclear to many. It is fairly well known that there are several verses in the Bible, which clearly state that Christians should not sue one another; however, other verses are not as black and white as others. With that being said, by taking a look at five different passages in the Bible, this inaudible question of whether Christians should file lawsuit should be made more clear. Christians believe that the word is true and holds nothing but the truth. In 1 Corinthians 6, Paul was discussing the problems that can occur by bringing someone to court. He was also explaining how the people of God should figure out their problems in the church, and use the church’s guidelines to help them with their problems, rather than going to court. Having said that, in short, the Presumption of Validity is an understanding that the authority will outweigh one that invalidates. By taking a close look at these five passages, it is shown how God does not want us to sue one another; rather we should figure out our problems the right way – face-to-face with our neighbor. Bringing someone to court only causes further issues and is the unrighteous thing to do. Many people are too caught up in reality and focus too much on money. Filing a lawsuit and earning money that way is not fair, or right, in my opinion. Earning money with hard work is much more satisfying and it makes you a better person, instead of earning it by suing someone for money. It is important to turn the other cheek, and realize what the important thing really is. Finally, we are able to use the “Principles of Interpretation” to our advantage to get a further and better understanding of the
