God does not simply admire justice, as one might admire a fine painting, God’s love for justice is the love of one who does justice; God is just. The Lord works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed, we sing when we bless the Lord with the words of psalm 103:6 hen we cry for deliverance with the words of psalm 140:12 say, I know the Lord maintains the cause of the afflicted, and executes justice for the needy.” . This answers a question in which we discussed in class, “How important is justice to God?”. Justice is imperative to the understanding of God himself, He is justice and without that idea there would be virtually no point in God. Another question that we answered in class after reading the text was, “Why does God love justice?”, God not only loves justice because it is him, but it reaffirms his will for his followers.

It all began with the story of Nat Turner, an African slave who grew up in the slave trade. As a young boy, he believed heavily in the teachings of the Bible and the church. Turner believed he was chosen by God to help put an end to slavery and years of oppression.
Racism is the discrimination against someone based on the idea that their race is superior to another. The Catholic Church is a large opponent to racism because it believes that our Lord created us all as equals who should be treated as such. Racism in the United States has existed since its establishment but became very prevalent during the Civil War and the creation of the Ku Klux Klan. Although racism tends to refer mainly only to race and skin color it has also been used in terms of religion (Robinson). This can be traced back to when Catholics were persecuted for their faith.

From my conclusion America was not founded as a Christian nation. Yes, it is true that some of the early settlers came here to have religious freedom from the church of England, but the Founding Fathers were predominantly non-Christian. There is a lot of evidence to support that the founding fathers were mostly Deist or non-Christian. The origin of our country was founded on escaping the Anglican pressure of the Church of England. Some of the Founding Fathers like Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and many more were not Christian, but that does not remove the idea of Christianity in the United States.

RELIGION CAUSES MORE HAARM THAN GOOD TO SOCIETY Religion according to the oxford dictionary is the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power especially a personal God or gods. Every human being in one way or the other belongs to a particular religion. Since religion makes us worship one God then it should be binding all of us. Actually it is not, it rather tears people apart day in and day out .It is true that religion has influenced society positively in diverse ways, but the bad outweighs the good. Thus I think religion causes more harm than good to the society.
