In Social Media In The Office: Two Truths And A Lie, the author attempts to shatter the myth that the use of social media in the workplace has negative effects on worker productivity. As the use of social media has become ubiquitous in our society, especially with younger generations, it seems that this argument is an attempt at rationalizing what has become reality. Furthermore, the benefits of using these new forms of communication can actually have a benefit for companies. Social media has become a part of how we communicate with each other and it is only going to gain in popularity. We are able to communicate in real time with people around the world.
