The Superb Soup

This story took place about 2 years ago when I was in the geriatric wood crafted kitchen with my mom the day before our vacation. I decided to help her cook the luscious soup she was working on. She had made this soup before a series of times and it was one of my favorites. This was a period in my life when I was very fascinated by cooking. I often helped my mom cook and prepare. My mom is a great cook. This is mainly by reason that in our culture we cook almost everything we digest at home.

We were in the middle of cooking a wonderfully ambrosial delicious soup. The aroma is just so pleasing. In this particular soup we use a specific spice instead of the ordinary,salt, named Vegeta. I personally yen the flavor of the seasoned …show more content…

Thus, I decided it would be a better idea to reach up to the top cabinet and grab the Vegeta. As soon as my mother turned around, I pulled myself up to get on the counter. This was the only way I could reach the top cabinet. As soon as I pulled my left knee up, I knew that I had done something wrong when I felt a strong heat wave bursting from the oven I had not turned off. I fell to the ground, crying in convulsion. Consequently, I burnt the entire inner part of my lower right knee.

As my entire family packed for the remainder of the evening struggling to finish bundling up for our trip the next morning, I was attempting to force a tent in a bag with my knee completely burnt. My knee formed a enormous bubble over night. I ended up with an infected greenish orange knee on vacation in Romania. I wasn’t able to play soccer or do anything else with any kids for the initial 3 weeks of the trip. We had to treat the knee several times a day with different medications and solutions.

In conclusion, looking back, I don’t see how this could ever obliterate from my mind. I learned not only to pay ATD, but that you should cherish every moment while you still have them. In my case, it was cooking with my mother. Till this day, I laugh looking back on how I could be so unaware of the hot oven right below my
