Homeroom Reflection Junior year I have grown as a student this semester by watching the mala movie. This has helped me grow as a student because it showed me how just one voice can change so much in a community. From this experience I learned how Mala was an ordinary girl but who ones spoke up for what she believed was right for her community and the people all around her. After she started to change her community on a positive way for example, have more schools so students can have an education and making sure girls were able to attend school more often. Therefore, when she spoke up for what she thought was right and changed people 's life there was some who didn 't appreciate what she was doing so decided to shot her and ended up shooting her on her forehead.
Fifty is a great age. Celebrate it with friends, and family. Be proud of being 50, show it off with one or more 50th birthday signs. A yard sign is the perfect way to set the tone. A personalized sign is always nice, and after the party it becomes a keepsake to mark this special day.
The World’s Columbian Exposition was among the highest attended events during in 1893. The World’s Fair as it was known to the world, broadcasted various inventions that were deemed revolutionary. America was in the midst of the Gilded Age and Chicago was believed to be an acceptable location for this fair. One night, in the deep, dark forest, teeming with wild and ferocious animals, Hansel and Gretel were left alone by their father in the woods without knowing the reason. The siblings waited in the dark, cold and foggy forest. Then, they wandered in the dark forest because they couldn’t wait no longer until they found a colorful candy house. Hansel and Gretel rushed in front of the candy door and knocked to help them. They were so hungry that they could eat like a horse.
At Last, I’m A Senior Senior year has by far been the craziest, scariest, and most important year of my life. Many people imagine senior year to be laid back and care free; so far, it has been everything but that. Senior year consists of trial and error and is full of surprises (a great deal of surprises). 730 students embarked on an adventure during their summer that could quite possibly change their lives. Out of the 1,634 teenagers who were a part of the study, one-fifth of the teenagers had already been arrested and most of them were from lower income families. It was also mentioned in the article that the youth who were offered jobs had been arrested 43 percent fewer times than their peers. Sara Heller was in charge of this study called One Summer Plus taking place at the University of Pennsylvania. For these teenagers it truly was a plus to not only their summer, but for their life.
Junior year was a bit challenging for me. It was not challenging because of the work, but I joined a career program. I had to keep up with both of my schools. For me to be successful with so many things going on, I had to stay organized and think ahead. My success was that I kept all my grades above a C+.
Many people attend these Friday Night football games because they see it as a tradition. I was never quite able to understand this until after I graduated high school and had been attending the games every fall Friday night for four years as a part of the marching band. Now as a recent graduate of Cambria Heights, I have come to understand the meaning of these Friday night football games like everyone else does. These games are not just a time to come and see an entertaining football game or the marching band performance (although those are perfectly great reasons to go!), but it is a time to catch up with friends, both those who we see often and those who we do not see so much anymore. Communication Event Actual Event The movie I’m going to talk about is Pitch Perfect, which is released on 24th of September 2012 in Los Angeles. This is an American Comedy Musical film directed by Jason Moore. Kay Cannon written the screenplay, based on the novel of Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate a Cappella Glory by Mickey Rapkin. The main characters are Anna Kendrick as Beca and Skylar Astin as Jesse.
It is my Senior year, and I have accomplished a few great things so far. I have been in Honors math courses since Freshman year; I took an AP course and I got a three on the exam, which will be enough to earn college credits at some colleges I am looking at. I also got invited to National Honor Society last year, and I am in it this year as well. I have a lot of things I want to accomplish before the end of my last year at Old Orchard Beach High School and hopefully during this quarter.
The span of four years has molded me into a totally different person. My view of my high school and the people inside of it has transformed completely, even though not much has really changed. Although freshman and senior year might have seemed totally different, both served to help me grow as a person. In my freshman year of high school my classes sped by incredibly fast; as a result, every teacher was forced to squeeze their instruction into forty-five minute periods.
