The plot of Survivors True Stories of Children in the Holocaust, is about children that went through WWII and somehow survived the terror. This book features nine stories from Jewish girls and boys whose lives spun into danger and fear as the Holocaust overtook Europe, with the Jews all feared the Nazis. This book shows different experiences from each of the children. In a time of great struggles, the nine children each found a way to make it through the tough times of the war.
The setting of Survivors True Stories of Children in the Holocaust, is during WWII. These stories are all different but are still based around the same area and time. The children going through this had to experience a lot after either going into hiding, fleeing, or getting captured, the main areas in the stories are Poland, Holland, and Hamburg. The characters all have many things in common with how strong and dynamic they are and become. They are Jewish children that were either forced into concentration camps or that went into hiding, with or without their family, because of WWII. Each of the children grow up and mature along with the story, they all have very strong hearts that they will do whatever they can to survive and stay tough.
The theme of this book is all around very gripping and inspiring. The main idea is just coming of age and for the young children to realize and mature throughout. It is very hard for some of them to grab on and snap into reality with WWII and the children being so young it’s a tough time for all. This book is really shows how much of a struggle it was for everyone and it is with us today so that we never have to forget what the Jews went through, so it never happens
