Symptoms of Milk Allergy in Babies
Milk allergy is one of the common food allergies affecting toddlers. It is due to the children’s reaction to milk and milk products. A reaction can happen within minutes to hours after the children consumes milk. The symptoms and signs range from mild to rigorous and it includes vomiting, wheezing, digestive issues and hives. At times, the milk allergy leads to anaphylaxis- a life threatening effects.
• Symptoms
Milk allergy symptoms differ among children occurs within minutes to hours after taking milk or milk products. Normally following reaction affects children, wheezing, vomiting and hives. • Respiratory problems
Colds are common disorders to attack children. But wheezing, problem in breathing, developing over mucus in the nose and throat issues must be attended. If your kid is affected by any of these, then it is due to the presence of protein in the milk.
• Failure to flourish
If your baby has a milk allergy, not given right nutrition. This is due to dehydration, no love for food or milk, and insufficient energy. These all make blocks your child’s growth. This is due to the other symptoms effect on your child’s body.
• Anaphylaxis
Anaphylaxis happens due to milk allergy and it’s a life threatening reaction to children. It closes the airways and block children from breathing. The other signs include facial flushing, itching, and shock with a drop in blood pressure.
If your child gets milk allergy or anaphylaxis, take them immediately to the hospital. Tell the doctor the situation, whatever it may be. Only after testing, the milk allergy or anaphylaxis can be confirmed.
Once it was confirmed as anaphylaxis, then your child requires immediate medical attention. Your child administered with an epinephrine shot and this should be in an emergency
