AVID is a program not intended for everyone. This program exposes you to a variety of skills and mastery for adolescents desiring to attend college. Avid focuses around organization, teamwork, and for you to critically think. These skills are new to many and are provenly beneficial, however these skills do not favor those that have already had these skills and are show casing their full potential. Therefore, Avid is not for me since it interferes with my academic courses, mastery of avid skills and would not be beneficial for me because I have gained much of the skills and would rather interfer than assist.
. REFLECTIVE PRACTICE IN NURSING Reflective practice is used in nursing to improve practice. Throughout this semester, I have grown as a writer in many ways. I looked back on all the essays I have done and I can see the improvement throughout each essay I did. The three essays that I will be using in my portfolio are the Writing and Reading History Essay, the Non-Academic Discourse Essay, and the Rhetorical Analysis Essay. The reason that I chose the three essays were because of the improvement I could see throughout each one.
The clip I used came from the movie Precious . The scene takes place while Monique and precious was in a session with Ms.Whyce. In this scene Monique and Ms.Whyce gave Monique contact for the most part time. The mother eyes would change to wide squinty, and watery when she started to talk about her past.
English Composition 101 has been a fun class that helped me build my confidence as a writer. It was my first college class, and I am glad that I decided to take the course. It was a great experience, and the class will help me immensely in my future writing. When I started the class I had zero experience writing papers. My school had never taught me how to write papers and had never required me to write one, so I was very nervous when I started the class.
Openness: With a moderately high score on openness (33 out of 50), I possess a curious, original, intellectual, and creative nature. I embrace novelty and enjoy exploring new ideas and perspectives. This inclination towards openness allows me to approach problem-solving with a fresh and innovative mindset. I find that I can think outside the box and generate unique solutions by considering unconventional approaches. However, I also recognize the importance of routines and structure in maintaining stability and efficiency within the organization.
Before traveling out to Petaluma for the Chief Petty Officer Academy I was nervous, anxious, and excited all at the same time. I was not sure what I was going to learn or how it would change me as person for the better. Now that I am here and finishing week four, I can honestly say it has been one of the most eye opening experiences of my life. I have learned more about myself in the past four weeks than I have in a lifetime. Attending the Chief Petty Officer Academy was very beneficial for my career, it has taught me how to coach someone, showed me why diversity is so important in the work place, and has me thinking of ways to make a better command climate at my unit so we can eradicate sexual assault all together.
In relation to caring for this patient I displayed strengths in implementing appropriate nursing actions, adapting to change and communicating effectively with the patient to provide patient centered care; however, I discovered weakness such as, a lack of confidence and patient teachings. I believe that the nursing actions I created for my patient this week were well thought out and my ability to adapt to my patient’s changes and mood to implement my actions greatly improved my patient’s overall health. Comparatively, this patient was my first patient I administered medications to and it was evident that I was nervous when explaining the medication’s purpose and actions. However, since then, with practice and my cheat sheet I feel more confident
As I go through this assessment, it has shown about two way friendship. I am friendly person so I can make friend easily. The other thing that I notice in this assessment is how better I become friends with most of the people. Friendships with people that I have known for a long time can have a big impact on my life. I always say sorry when I do something wrong

Some words that people tell you are forgotten in an instant. Some words stick with you forever! I can still hear my mother telling me “Self-improvement is impossible without self-reflection”, to teach me a lesson of self-accountability. I remind myself of it daily to help me understand why I am where I am in life, and how to get where I want to be in life. Reflecting on how I have gotten where I am, I remembered a first-year undergraduate version of myself.
A personal journey experience of the formative process that I would like to share in this paper it’s an important experience that made me grow within about knowing ‘God is with me all the time’ and He really ‘knows me from within’ even my thought. And it changed whole my life. This process happened 18 years ago when I was a novice, but it is fresh even now. It’s on about my 4 months exposure of second year novice that made me ‘rupture’ from a close and weak person become who am I, today.
Through all the CELTA course I have been observing and taking notes of many classes from my peers, trainers and experienced teachers. From those notes, this essay will focus on 4 specific areas. Those areas are error correction, setting tasks, pace, and concept checking questions. Observing a class from one of my peers I was able to take very good examples of error correction, including immediate and delayed error correction. During feedbacks, the teacher immediately encouraged self-correction whenever the students made a mistake using different techniques.
We all make mistakes, and most of the time we learn from them. From my Preliminary Writing Assignment to my Paper One, I have made numerous improvements in my writing but also many mistakes. Coming into College Writing One, I did not have papers to write to improve my skills in my upcoming years in college. Within the two papers I have written, I have expanded my word selection for more detailed paper, reduced fragments, and reorganized my thesis method for a better outcome. I came into this class thinking it was going to be just like high school.
