The Bull Moose Party, was a former political party in the United States, founded by Theodore Roosevelt during the presidential campaign of 1912. The Bull Moose Party was formed because Theodore Roosevelt was beaten in the Republican primary by Taft yet still wanted to run for president. Right around this time, the political party called for direct election of U.S. senators, women's voting rights, reduction of tariffs, and many social reforms. Roosevelt, who served as the 26th president of the United States from 1901 to 1909, began his campaign as the party's presidential candidate. A key point of his platform is "Square Deal", Roosevelt's concept of a fair business competition based on society and the added benefits to Americans who need it.

In the years leading up to the American Revolution, there was a tense relationship between the colonists and their British rulers. Large gatherings in the colonies to discuss the grievances caused by the actions of the British were common. Patrick Henry applies the rhetorical strategies of allusions and repetition in his “Speech in the Virginia Convention” to assert that the colonists should believe fighting for their freedom and rights is necessary and that they must fight as soon as possible. On Sunday afternoon, boy scouts in Seward’s Troop 256 gathered at the St. John Lutheran Church to honor eight members’ induction to Eagle Scout. Also present were six members of the troop’s class of 1967, which reunited to celebrate the group’s 50th anniversary as Eagle Scouts. State Sen. Mark Kolterman of the 24th District, one of nine members of the 1967 troop, said he knows first hand how big of an honor the award is. “You work hard for it,” he said. “It’s something that nine of us have in common from that era, and we’re all close friends because of it."

In the National Collegiate Athletic Association wrestling is one of the top five viewed championships in college sports, but how are we supposed to know who we like best when we only get to see them in the playoffs? I believe that there should be more college wrestling on TV. There should be more wrestling on TV because it’s unfair. More than 190,000 people under the age of 21 visited an emergency room for alcohol related reasons in 2008 alone. Alcohol related motor vehicle crashes kill someone every 31 minutes and non-fatally injure someone every two minutes. That’s a lot of people gone because they wanted to go out and party and not think about the consequences ahead.
