Another fact about most successful companies is that customer loyalty or repeat business is an essential part of remaining a leader in any industry. Burger King has the motto of “Have it Your Way”, and Ford Motor Company is “Quality is job one.” These are simple enough slogans that happen to be a guarantee that as the customer, your concerns are a priority to the company as a whole. Now Delta’s slogan is “Keep Climbing” and as a customer what does that means. The plane is going to outer space? There is no personal touch that links the airline to the customer. In 1992, Delta’s slogan was “Ready when you are” and that spoke directly to the customer. A customer should have confidence in a company in which the customer is about to give their hard eared money to, and create a motto that tells the customers that Delta is ready to serve them. Being in the airline industry where low pricing beats out brand loyalty most of the time. Delta continues to offer the lowest airfare price or at least meet its competitor’s prices for fares. When matching a competitor’s price, the next step is to have better incentives. Delta instituted a loyalty program known as Sky Miles. Sky Miles are frequent flyer rewards that can get a customer an upgrade to first class or even free vouchers. …show more content…

To cut down on a customers wait times, a customer can print their boarding pass at home with the use of the Internet. Also, Delta has installed kiosks that allow a customer to check into their flight by themselves. A customer can make their reservations over the Internet using websites such as Orbitz, or Traveocity. The customer can even pick the seat in which they want to sit in. All this technology is to streamline the process of checking in for the flight and reduces the customer’s frustration. Unfortunately, there is nothing that Delta can do about the TSA or the Transportation Security
