The background in which teachers come from is heavily education based. It is very critical that the people teaching the youth are prepared to do so. “Kindergarten and elementary school teachers must have at least a bachelor’s degree.” (Kindergarten...Teachers 1). While obtaining their bachelor degree, individuals generally also take classes in education and child psychology. I have interests in both of these topics. Becoming a teacher also depends on vigorous training you must bear before obtaining your teaching certificate. “In order to receive certification, teachers need to undergo a period of fieldwork, commonly referred to as student teaching.” (Kindergarten...Teachers 5) Student teaching wouldn't be an issue to me. One of their many responsibilities being to prepare the students, “Kindergarten and elementary school teachers prepare younger students for future schooling by teaching them basic subjects.” (Preschool Teacher 1) Learning and understanding these basic subjects are fundamental to the youth's ability to grasp more advanced concepts in the future. Without a basic foundation of understanding, it is difficult to build up to more challenging levels of learning. Another role teachers must meet with is to “Plan and carry out a curriculum that targets different areas of child development, such as language, motor, and social skills” (Kindergarten...Teachers 1). Same as before, it is hard to build young people's knowledge if they have not gotten the chance to develop their language, motor, and social skills. Becoming a teacher would be an amazing choice for me, performing these tasks would be like second nature to me. I am very skilled at teaching basic subjects due to my current job as an after school instructor, and would be able to find the patience within myself to teach basic development
