Ted Bundy was raised by his grandparents because his mom had him when she was 22 and she was not married. He was a part of a nice working-class family in Philadelphia. He had an odd fascinations with knives at the age of 3. He did well in school, but didn’t have many peers because he was shy and socially awkward. When he became a teenager a dark side of Bundy came out. He enjoyed spying on people through their windows and would steal from people. Bundy graduated with a degree in psychology from Washington University. He was accepted into Utah to go to law school. He had a girlfriend in college and when she broke up with him, he was devastated. Most of his victims resembled his girlfriend from college. Ted Bundy was capable of standing trial because he was not mentally insane. He was convicted of Kidnapping, murder, attempted murder, burglary, and rape. He would decapitate some victims, keeping their bodies, shampooing the hair, and applying makeup to them. The third and final time he was arrested he seemed defeated. He was convicted with forensic evidence and witnesses. People that had escaped his grasp had talked about it. He also bit one of his victims and the bite marks matched. There was also fibers that matched to one of his victims. He was sentenced to death by electricity. He was killed by the electric chair on January 24th, 1989 at approximately 7:06 A.M. People were shooting of fireworks and celebrating his death. Serial killers are generally white males in their 30s. There are disorganized and organized serial killers. The organized ones make sure they leave no evidence behind and carefully plan out what they are going to do. The profile can change because depending on whether or not they are organized, their personality can change. The typical childhood of a serial killer may involve abuse, bedwetting, drugs/alcohol, antisocial, interest with fire, and cruelty to animals. Serial killers get more aggressive as they kill more people because they get a thrill from it. Fantasies effect serial killers because they can trigger something in their minds that turn into actions instead of just thoughts.
