Teen Dating Violence is a vast problem worldwide. As a teenager, it tends to be effortless when it comes to being influenced. Teenagers tend to veer towards the people they choose to be around. When selecting a partner, parents worry about their child, for they wish them the best. Abuse and violence has become more common in the modern world. Teens tend to sweep things under the rug more often than not. They begin to place themselves into situations that they cannot get out of. Once someone begins being abused, it becomes a pattern. The victim begins to believe that these patterns are accustomed and expected. Teenagers believe that this treatment is love because of the attachment one has to their significant other. Furthermore, Hozier believes that the abuser loves him no matter the way she chooses to show it. Teens will hide this kind of behavior from their parents in order to have the ability to remain with their partner. Teenagers need to understand that abuse is not the definition of love. Therefore, it is vital to campaign against teen dating violence and raise awareness in order to spread the word and aid teens in getting the help that they need.
