The difference between artificial intelligence and human life may not be as big as you might think. Technology continues to grow and advance every single day, and it shows no signs of stopping. We have even gotten to the point where robots can look and act like humans! One of the earliest examples of advanced humanoid technology is in the movie “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” directed by James Cameron. This shows that robots can be taught to respect human lives, so that they are not seen as a threat to society. An example of robots valuing the importance of human lives in real life is when a robot named Sophia received a citizenship for Saudi Arabia. Sophia is one of the most advanced artificial intelligence robots in the world, and she was able to receive a citizenship from a real country. This shows how robots value being a legitimate citizen, as they realize it is an important part of being human, and also shows how robots wish to be just like humans, in order for the bond between robots and humans to become stronger. In addition, the first rule of Isaac Asimov’s Laws of Robotics states that “A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm”, which proves that robots are already programmed with human tendencies in mind, which adds to why they should be called
