For students who buy the digital version, students will have practice questions for each chapter and practice exam to help them test their knowledge of the overall material. As they read the chapters, there will be multiple choice questions popping up in between each section to help them learn about each topic and better understand them. These questions will give them an idea of how they will be tested for their exams, but will not be similar to the test bank questions that will be provided to the professor. He reports that during testing pressure to perform well acts as a motivator, however, fear of testing anxiety and failure become devastating to him because his self-worth is connected to the outcome of the test. He reports that bad experiences ( not passing his tests ) with test-taking has lead him to have a negative mindset and influences his expectations for his performance on future tests. He reports that during test he experiences the following
Would you fight through all obstacles to accomplish a test determining your life? Or would you crumble under the pressure? In The Testing trilogy, there are many characters that have multiple different obstacles to face during the trilogy. Cia has had many obstacles for example when she had to figure out who to trust and who to rely on. My theme that i find is very common in the testing trilogy is that there will be many obstacles to overcome in life.
1) Of the three primary units we have completed in this course, the most challenging unit for me was the argument (persuasion) unit. I was surprised at how much I struggled both in the pre-writing process and in the writing process. To begin with, because I love arguments, I had trouble choosing a topic. In the end, I decided to challenge myself with the policy that requires sex offender to be added to a public registry policy. Instead of going with my initial stance (opposition), I decided to flip the scrip and argue the opposite of what I believe (proposition).
I chose 3 lessons from the unit that will demonstrate an array of different learning targets that build on each other and that students will have to accomplish in this unit This will lead to assist them in their summative assessment. The summative assessment (see handout--) will ask students to create a claim and defend their argument. In lesson 1 students discuss the essential question along with their journal entries responses and questions that they asked in their journals (see journal rubric). The supplemental text will be used to connect the major themes of the unit and the main reading, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. At this point they have been reading the novel and are towards the end of it.
The book is long with a lot of repetition so taking notes there's actually only a
My Way to the 99% Club On the first day of the class it sounded as an impossible task. Today the 99% club is the dream came true. It didn’t require from me any supernatural abilities or exceptional knowledge. Therefore, anyone can achieve this goal if you make at least some efforts.
The unit I found most beneficial is the one about how the legislative branch. The speaker of the house of representatives is a very important job, he keeps order within the house and is the president in a unique situation. I also learned about filibusters, these are people that those in the senate try to get reversed by talking for a very long time. The longest ever was 24 hours and 18 minutes. The last thing I learned is that there are committees in congress and that they have very important responsibilities like coming up with ways to help whatever their committee is about.
I read over the possible answers and made an estimated guess based on the variation of numbers provided. I stayed on the first question for a few moments, changed my answer twice, and moved on to the rest of the exam. The remaining questions were exactly what my husband and I reviewed in the car. I looked up at the clock and realized I only had three minutes left so I glanced over my answer sheet to ensure I had answered all of the questions. I closed the booklet, returned to the services counter, and handed the agent my test
The weekly reading assignments were very helpful. Some of the topics were great refreshers of common mistakes made when writing; these knocked some of the cobwebs in my mind loose. The other topics with sample writings gave me an idea of what to do. The instructor feedback and the revision recommendations were probably the most helpful tools in my composition process.
Through this whole course I feel like one method that really helped me was are class room methodologies. Peer reviewing, having students teach the grammar sections, and our simple classroom policies, are the methodologies that really helped me succeed in this course. Each student has the opportunity to have his or her paper looked at by our professor and classmates. At first, I was hesitant about this due to the fact that I have a hard time getting up in front of the class. After a few class periods I realized how beneficial doing this could be.
It took patience to stick to my one subject and listen and watch everything that was happening when you are in a place with so much going on. The checklist the professor provided played a big role in me completing my assignment it was a great tool to look back and make sure that all points were being

I have understood the material more as I studied out of the text book. This has also helped me take effective notes. With this most recent score on my exam I had a push to keep going and
Memory is a confusing and sometimes frustrating aspect of our brain. I oftentimes struggle with my lack of both long-term and short-term memory. There are times when I forget what I did the previous weekend and I have difficult times remembering things from my past that other people seem to have no trouble remembering. One of the best ways to make ensure that your memory is placed into long-term memory is to use elaborative rehearsal.
