The United States adheres and promotes democratic values upon which it was founded on such as liberty, justice and equality. Liberty, justice and equality are all democratic values. These values assist in the belief of freedom. They have brought many great things into the United States. Immigration has provided many jobs and freedom for people. However, it has also brought some bad things. Liberty is the act of being free such as immigration. In the 19th century, immigration was in full force. Numerous people wanted to immigrate to the United States for new economic opportunities. Some of these people included the Germans, Irish, and Chinese. Before immigrating, most people did not have jobs because of shortages. For example, many jobs only needed a certain amount of people. Also part of the American dream was for the husband to work and the wife to stay home and be a mother to the children. Women always wore dresses and did household
