The decade of the 90s was a terrifying, yet glorious time. The music from the 90s greatly affected the self expression of its listeners.There were a lot of acts of terrorism, and many advances in science as well as many songs that reflected how people felt about these events. Many songs affected the world as the world affected the music. The 1990s was a time for progression, and a time for violence. There were many terrorist attacks during the 90s. One terrorist attack happened in 1995 on April 19th. Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols set off a bomb in Oklahoma City, right outside of the Murrah Federal Building, killing one hundred and sixty eight people (America's best history). The scientific community had many breakthroughs in the 90s. The Hubble Telescope launched on April 24th in 1990 and became active one month later (America’s best history). Another scientific breakthrough was the creation of a baby in a test tube. There was a lot of controversy over it and whether or not it should happen ( Kallen).
