American auto industry takes the lead in the auto industry around the world. The basic reason for this is the incorporation of many companies General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Daimler
Chrysler, BMW, Volkswagen, Volvo, Toyota, Mazda, and Nissan Motor Company which make them takeover the world. Their basic motto is "were to work together on public policy matters of common interest to provide credible industry information and data, and seek consistent global regulatory standards (Gale, 2004)".
The Toyota company was one of the biggest competitors globally before the Great Recession which affected the whole economy.
