The American Dream, Possible but Not Easy America, the land of the free, where there is equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative, but it’s not as easy as it seems. The American dream is whatever you want it to be, and is indeed accessible to everyone and anyone, although it may be harder for some more than others because life is just full of complications such as what the country is going through like economic crisis and war. Life 's complications, as well as its dreams, have no limit. There are problems such as where you live, the economy, and other things like lack of jobs for unskilled laborers. A new report predicts that by 2030, “as many as 800 million jobs could be lost worldwide to automation” (Vincent). Advances in artificial intelligence and robotics will have quite effect on everyday working lives, comparable to the shift away from agricultural societies during the Industrial Revolution. “ In the U.S alone, between 39 and 73 million jobs stand to be automated, making up around a third of the total workforce” (Vincent). But although the report also states that as in the past, technology will not be an entirely negative new wave. New jobs will be created, existing roles will be redefined, and workers will have the opportunity to switch careers. The challenge, in particular to this generation, is managing the transition." Income inequality is likely to grow, possibly leading to political instability; and the individuals who need to retrain for new careers won 't be the young, but middle-aged professionals" (Vincent). Automaton is a blessing but a potential threat to our lives economically, it will be good for business owners and manufacturers but what about the commonwealth? This concerns me because I wonder how long it will take till all is affected, till life as we know it isn 't so humane, just technological. But the thing with the ability is, where do you get such abilities? Well at college, and while you 're obtaining those abilities, you 're going to get yourself in debt. While you 're in debt and trying to pay it off, it 's difficult to find a job because most companies have switched over to artificial intelligence to do their labor for cheaper. It 's only going to get more difficult for americans to achieve the american dream had been formed after years and years of opportunity that seems to now disappear more and more each decade that passes, and it 's quite concerning for not only people who go through this currently but I 'm sure for anyone reading this, you 've read the statistics, a good majority of college grads and current students alike have taken out loans to pay for their education and from multiple sources, it can take from 10 to 21 years for the average college graduate with a bachelors degree to pay off their student
