For America has one of the most powerful country in the world that is the most leading democrat country in the world as well. In our creed the ideals of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness often clash with other ideals that are often against these American ideals. For example in Nazi Germany, many Germans did not believe that democracy would work and help the needs of many individual. In the 1930’s the Nazi did came to power and took many rights of people away and cause wars against many peaceful nations and lost. For example, for the expanding to the West. In Manifest Density, it was the view for many Americans to expand to the West and control most of the continent. While expanding to the West many American settlers came into conflicts with Native Americans. The Native Americans lived in these lands for many years and some were forced to settle here from the East. At the end many Americans and Native Americans were killed and many Natives lost their land forever. Another conflict was at the end of the 1800’s. Many Americans wanted to have colonies just like England and France had. American then want to war with Spain and took control of many of their territories. Philippines, Guam, and Puerto Rico. In these territories many Americans were forcing their views on these places for better life. These caused conflicts with the people in these places. In Philippines had fighting against the United States for a better future. By 1946 the Philippines won its independences and became a country as a democracy. Guam remained as an American territory. But in World War II had to fight the Japanese government to remain as a territory. Finally Puerto Rico is the main territory for the US government. Many citizens has the right to be an American citizens since 1917 and many believe that it could become the 51st state.
