1.a There are many ways which my childhood was different when compared to a Yucatec Maya childhood. In the first example, the children enjoyed working around the house and would ask for more responsibilities to show their competence in doing work. Growing up, I would do all that I could so I wouldn’t have to do chores and I would never have asked for more work. I would do the least amount of chores that I could while staying out of trouble while the Yucatec children would do as much housework as their parents let them. Even when I did do chores, I didn’t want to and didn’t enjoy doing them.
America and Guatemala are very different cultures; sometimes these cultures can be viewed in a poor light or it can be viewed in an interesting light, but I think these differences are very interesting and nice. One big difference that can be seen is that America loves upgrading technology and making technology to make life easier. In Guatemala, it is not like that. Guatemala does have some technology like smart phones and new types of cars, but if something is fine how it is, it is not upgraded and not much technology is made that would supposedly make their lives easier.

In fact the hieroglyphs helped archaeologists and historians understand Mayan culture and thoughts. Iconography is also impactful on the study of history because it allows historians to understand the stories and lives of the people from the past.

The Mayans developed their civilization in MesoAmerica, which influenced their culture differently from the Egyptians.
