Oh no! We have been bombed so we can’t cause any more danger of war for we have to surrender! Truman had made the right decision to drop the bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Many people know that WWII was a very rough, hard, and sad time. At some point it needed to be ended. Thankfully Italy and Germany gave up in the war and it was just Japan left to fight against. Once we dropped the bombs things changed in a good way. When we dropped the bombs on Japan they surrendered and we did it, we won. If we didn’t drop the bomb the war would most likely continue and more lives would be taken away then the lives taken away when the atomic bombs were dropped. But there would be even more people injured and dead if we hadn't dropped the bomb because they probably would not have surrendered. For example, in the book Bomb, page 202, it states ““I cannot endure the thought of letting my people suffer any longer,” he said. “The time has come when we must bear the unbearable.” That ended the argument. Japan surrendered on August 15. World War II was over.” This shows that the Emperor knew if they did not surrender his people would suffer and die even if they didn’t drop the bomb too. Also in support of this in the book, Sachiko, it states “An announcer followed, rereading the emperor’s message in easier language. “We had no choice but to lay down our arms.”” This proves that the emperor wanted to stop his people from danger from other countries because he decided it was time to put an end to the war and get innocent people …show more content…

Once the atomic bomb dropped though there was lots of destruction but it was all over and that would not happen again. Also people would have more time to enjoy and live life the way it is supposed to be. For instance, in the book, Bomb, it states “One summer day, three years after the end of World War II, Harry Gold fell in love. “It really happened so-just like that,” he said.” This proves after the scary and hard war Harry Gold had free time to go find the love of his life because he started dating a girl he really liked. Another example from the book, Sachiko, states ""You need not to escape this world. The war is over.” Aki’s eyes widened. “What did you say, Father?”” This explains how Aki had a sudden act of happiness that the war was over because even though Japan did not win they were still done with war and they were free from the danger of invasions. Therefore after we dropped the bomb and Japan surrendered, we finally got freedom to have more time for things people normally do in their daily
