Benjamin Franklin was not only one of the worlds most famous leaders, but a family

man who cared about everyone. In his biography that he wrote himself, The Autobiography of

Benjamin Franklin, it covers his life achievement. However, the book was edited by John

Bigelow. Franklin writes about his life and all that he achieved. Family is clearly important to

Mr. Franklin, the first part of the book he talks about his childhood and growing up. With his

successes in climbing to the top he had different positions that he held. The book was

unfinished, and never got to the time period of becoming the President of the United States, or

how he helped construct the Constitution of this country. But it did cover many great and

Franklin’s rise to fame

happened during and around the time of the Great Awakening. This is quite ironic because he

claimed to be a deist. With the Great Awakening going on, it pulled the generosity in people

out, which he liked to see. Benjamin with the help of others, opened an orphanage that was

built in Philadelphia.

On top of Benjamin Franklins loving heart for those who aren't as fortunate, he is an

inventor. It only makes sense that he strives for greatness with all the hard work he puts forth.

Building up a company takes guts and risk, but so does being an investor. He invested many

things but some of his most well known are inventions were the bifocals, Franklin stove,

Lightning rod, and a glass harmonica. With his desire to push the limits he has made a huge

impact on our society today.

Mr. Franklin was an amazing leader and also a role model. We can all learn from

Benjamin's work ethic and desire to change the world. It does not matter if you are off working

in a candle store, you create your own future. Franklin always believed, “That one man of

tolerable abilities may work great changes” (75). Clearly Benjamin had those abilities
