Mr.Weintraub, author of “the battle Against fast food Begins at home,” introduced an argument against obesity and its causes. Weintraub explains how blaming the fast food industry or the government is pointless because they’re not the ones buying it for their children or themselves, the parents are. He states that rather than to blame others it’s up to them to take action and create healthy habits by instilling these habits early on in their children's lives. Parents are the stepping stone to creating healthy habits. Especially healthy eating habits. They are supposed to teach their children how there are healthy fats and bad fats. Parents are supposed to prevent childhood diabetes not be the cause of it. They should be introducing different ways of obtaining these nutrients that our body needs, not fat shaming them or making the child think that their health problems are to blame on the government. For example, i saw a little girl that was in the verge of getting type two diabetes all because her father kept feeding her fast food instead of instilling healthy habits in his child. Exercising is a healthy habit that would have decreased her chance of having bad health. Not only does it help her stay healthy but it helps her have a way to take stress out which is an excellent habit for any child to have. Parents can create healthy habits out of exercising by having their kids play outside and walk around the block. By instilling these healthy exercising habits in their children they are preventing their child from many fast food induced sicknesses like being obese or having diabetes or even high
