Technology has shaped the way we think, but to say we are becoming less intelligent because of it is untrue. There are several benefits of having technology. Technology has done so much for us. [First,] the way we get our information on Google, Google allows us to gather more information in [a more] efficient manner than a book can. FRAG, CS Second, our attention span has not shortened because of technology. For instance before computers and phones people would still get distracted while doing something. Many people argue that technology has made us stupid, but it hasn’t. Technology has created new way of thinking. What are the benefits of having technology and what has it done for us? Websites such as Google have helped us learn in a quicker and more efficient manner, letting us switch between tasks more quickly. Several can blame certain things on it, but I believe it’s because we must not be interested on the topic. Distractions throughout the day are invisible to pass by. According to Carr the Internet may hinder the capacity to concentrate due to the many distractions that often surround its content like ads and pop-ups (Carr 154). WDY I don’t agree that the distractions on the Internet hinder someone’s capacity to focus. For example, when one watches television, ads always interrupt after a break. [?] Television ads has a solution, now we have access to DVR, which allows one to skip ads during commercials.
