Corporate Image Corporate image or reputation describes the manner in which the business, its activities, products and services presents themselves to the public. The "image" is what the public is supposed to see when the corporation is mentioned. It need not reflect the actual position but rather it is a view that the society has about the company. It is simply the impression that comes to the mind when one comes across the name of the company. The corporate image cannot be shaped by the company itself, but rather it is constructed by the customers. In todays competitive business climate, it is important for businesses to actively work and communicate a positive image. A company whose unable to manage its image is likely to encounter a variety of problems. The corporate image has to be properly developed and managed. It is one of the essential blocks of branding, and one of the main building blocks for marketing. The right image creates a bond of trust between the business and the marketplace, as it also boosts the company’s earnings.
