With the revolution on going in France, politicians in France swapped the old Gregorian calendar with a new one. This event had revolutionized the everyday lives of the people of France. Although not all events that came from this event were beneficial to the citizens of France the negative effects towards the citizens of France had led to people questioning why they had adopted such a calendar. 11 documents have been examined to help explain the effect on the French citizens and they have been categorized into three groups; reports/request, compliments towards the new calendar, and complaints going against the new calendar. There was two types of calendars for the aztec, one was called Xiuhpohualli and had 365 days and the other was called Tonalpohualli, this calendar had 260 days. The Xiuhpohualli represents the agricultural year or the solar year and the Tonalpohualli is the sacred calendar of the Aztec. The english translation from Tonalpohualli is day count. The Tonalpohualli was sacred to the Aztec because it acted like a divinatory tool and it divides the days and rituals between the gods. To the Aztecs it was really important and without it the world would end.
Sui, Tang, and Song dynasties In bountiful places all over the world during the Post-Classical era, between the sixth and thirteenth century, there were many innovations. Especially in China when the three prodigious dynasties thrived; the Sui, Tang, and Song. The Sui, Tang, and Song bestowed numerous changes, along with continuity. Two of the most evident changes during this dynasties were technology and the repercussion of Confucianism and Buddhism on the empires.
One historical grade influence event is the creation of the touch screen. Touch screens are now being placed on all electronics and appliances. They are on phones, ATMs, replaced keypads, are on tablets, and even refrigerators. I believe that touch screens have impacted my cohort in a positive way. It has made doing things more efficient and quicker than using the dials and buttons that were once on electronics.

The Jacobins, led by the ruthless leader Robespierre, overthrew the monarchy, stating that the new system of government should revolve around a republic. In addition, the creation of a new calendar was proposed by two major groups, the peasants and the revolutionaries. Revolutionaries revolted so the common people could access equal distribution of food and wealth. The adoption of the Gregorian calendar was proposed by and would benefit the peasants, to create longer work schedules to allow the production of more food for the common people.

Columbus used technology available to him in the 1400’s. Today sailor has technology far superior to Columbus day.
One group of reformers that advocated peaceful social change by granting the power to vote to all workers were called Chartists. They were active in England from 1838 to 1848, and they presented a series of petitions (or "charters") to Parliament advocating political change. The Chartists reasoned that the Reform Act of 1832 did not go far enough in extending political power outside a small group of the wealthy and aristocrats. The Chartists also recognized that the Parliament, in 1833, had adopted some regulations that applied to the textile industry. The Chartists wanted more stringent regulations that would also extend to other industries.
The Colonists were able to win the war through a multitude of things, including; the alliances they gained, the influence of the minorities such as women and Indians, the ideas of federalism versus confederation, and the growth of the democratic spirit. The Colonists gained alliance with the French and the Spanish in hopes to conquer the British and gain their freedom. The women and the Indians were two separate forces that influenced the Colonists to push on in the war, through completely different methods of motivation. The Articles of Confederation helped structure America as a confederation, however, this did not work out, and through slight modifications, these articles became the backbone of the American Federal Government. In times of fear and hysteria in the U.S. it is mass chaos and it only gets worse and worse. During the time of both the witch-hunt eras, whether for communist or actual witches, they prove to have many similarities between them. Both of these times were full of confusion and lying which lead to the temporary downfall of the authority at that time. Joseph McCarthy proved to be a factor in this time and add on to the chaos that was America. Arthur Miller wrote about these times in a book called The Crucible, based on the witch trial era.
The Progressive Era The Progressive Era was a period of time that ranged from 1890 to 1920. During this time many reforms were made in local areas, state and federal levels. Using evidence, the Progressive area proves to be limited given the overall affects of segregation, racism, child labor and the Electoral College and careless employers. The successful components of the era are commerce laws and women’s rights and Chosen Representation.
Golden Ages are periods in a civilization where culture, art, literature, economic stability, and often scientific discovery and advancement thrive. The Golden Ages of Athens, Han China, and India were marked by cultural and economic dominance of those respective cultures. All three Civilizations were able to influence regions far away from their borders through trade, and aspects of their cultures inspired the culture of neighboring peoples. The standard of living amongst all three civilizations was also notably high. However, the development of technology played a more crucial role for the Golden Ages of Han China and India, while in Athens dominance was mostly achieved through political control and Athens becoming the most important voice

Whether it be the Mayans or the Aztecs or the Romans, each group of people consisted of different beliefs that affected the way they created their yearly calendars. Different peoples used religion or science to create their calendars to their understanding of how time passed at the time of their existence. The calendar we use today in the present day is called the Gregorian calendar, which is used by just about everyone in the world because it is the standard calendar that has been created, instead of having different calendars that didn’t function on the same base.
