Chris McCandless abandoned everything he had and left without telling anyone. After two years of his journey, Chris McCandless was found dead in a bus located in Alaska. He had eaten potato seeds which was a big factor on how he died.
The Call of the wild was a great book,It showed great detail and wording. It was a very emotional book with john and manuel and buck and the other dogs. When spitz and him were fighting the author showed great detail. It was like we were pulled into the scene of the fight. It a great book to read inwould requemend this for younnger childern who like animals orgfight for animals scaces.

Transcendentalism is the belief that everyone has the wisdom in them to be one with God without having to go through a priest or be in a church. Transcendentalists base this philosophy on self-wisdom, nature, and social reform. Jon Krakauer’s Into the Wild shows Chris McCandless’ choices and parallels to Henry David Thoreau’s transcendental beliefs from Walden. One transcendental belief that Chris McCandless follows is living deliberately.
Honestly there were parts that were a little boring in between all the action and fighting, but for the most part it kept me interested. One thing that I loved and hated was the use of so many characters so fast. For me, this made certain parts very confusing as I tried to put names with facts while getting certain characters mixed up. The beginning of the novel is harder to follow because of this.

I thought call of the wild was great. My favorite part was when Buck chased the wounded moose. My other favorite part was when Buck attacked the man in the bar. My least favorite part was when the two men with John made Buck go back in the river to save John. My other least favorite part in the book was when all the other sled dogs took Bucks food.

The book that I chose to read is call Call of the Wild by Jack London who tells the story of a dog named Buck whose father was a Saint Bernard and mother who was a Scotch shepherd dog. Buck starts the story as a dog who is pampered and who lives life inside of a wealthy house in California, as the story progresses Buck learns how to become a hunting dog and learns how to survive in nature. My opinion on the novel The Call of the Wild changed a lot through the story. The Call of the Wild was a pretty good book, but sometimes I did not understand why some things were happening. Throughout the whole book I only did not understand, or did not like a few things. I liked most of the parts so first i’ll tell you what i liked What I liked the most about The Call of the Wild was that John Thornton saved buck from Hal and Mercedes.
I definetely agree with the idea of power expressed in these quotes, especially with John Steinbecks theory on power. I think that people with power who have no fear of losing it dont tipically abuse it, but when they fear that they could lose their power I think thats when people tend to abuse it and create trouble. So power to me technically isnt bad it just depends on whats done with power. But i also think that when a man is completely powerless and he suddenly becomes powerful, that he will tend to abuse it because he will want to take advantage of his sudden power. I also love Nelson Mandela’s quote because to me it says that everyone can be powerful, that its not technically something someone is born into, but that if they take advantage
