Today I tried the Dollar Tree hot chips (I did not buy them) and they were disgusting, so most definitely there are some items that I much rather prefer to be name-brand than store-brand. I have always tried to give certain store-brand items a chance and save a few dollars. Some make the cut and some literally get cut and go into the trash. One example I will forever remember was when I tried the canned mixed veggies once compared to Del Monte’s; the quality difference was noticeable the instant I opened it and the taste EWWWW, I’ll never give that item another chance. There are some names brand I have 100% brand loyalty to; I blame my mother she never let us try anything different, has to be Best Food 's Mayo, If this woman shows up to my

In the short story “Brownies,” ZZ Packer develops a theme of “there is often more to something than what meets the eye” by making it so that although there was a predominant leader of the Brownie troop, Laurel acted as the true leader and was not afraid to go against the crowd. When the Brownies were putting their plan against the Troop 909 girls into action, Daphne decides to stay behind, and Laurel was “gonna stay, too” (Packer). Despite the fact that every girl in the troop but one was going, Laurel chose not to follow the crowd and tag along just for the sake of fitting in, which takes courage to do, showing that she is more of a leader than a follower. Later in the story, the girls were outside, waiting for their cue to burst into the bathroom. After a couple minutes of waiting and hearing nothing, they begin to argue about whether or not they should head in, and the

Children living in poverty were eligible for a free or reduced price lunch but, this changed when Reagan came into office. Have you ever wondered why our school lunches are not that great? Later that day Julie and Luke were at the bowling alley with some friends when Julie noticed a bulge on the side of his neck. Luke pulled away saying it was just a swollen gland from the flu. When she told him he should go to the doctor and get checked, he snapped back at her saying: “you’re not my mother, Julie-get
One day little Joseph went to Six Flags with his parents. Joseph was extremely short for his age and couldn’t ride any of the rides his parents could; so Joseph only got to ride the little kid rides. As soon as Joseph walked in the park, he knew exactly which ride he wanted to ride first. He sprinted off to his favorite ride, as his parents followed. Joseph got in line, and could barley contain his excitement.
Cheez-its are no longer allowed to be brought into the school cafeteria because of the horrible incident that happened on November the 14th to the 6th grade student of Sundown, Texas. Bring back ice cream and the snacks. Bring back the legendary cookies. #bringitback Over Christmas break, I talked to one of my closest friends, Alex Campbell, who graduate AHS in 2010. He told me stories on how great this school used to be and the food was one of the highlights. Since he has graduated, we have only gone downhill. "
It crosses his mind -- more than once, actually -- to simply get up and walk away, and damn anyone who tries to stop him. But when the bartender shouts "Closing in five!", Phinks finds himself reaching clumsily into a front pocket of his tracksuit to withdraw a handful of five-jenny bills, which he promptly dumps on the bar 's polished wooden countertop, enough to pay for his drinks and then some. A waitress immediately swings by to scoop them up, her lips upturned in a grateful smile. Phinks can 't help noticing how pretty she is, how young, how her pulse jumps lightly in the base of her pale, slim neck as she thanks him, wishes him a good night.
The Lonely Piglet by Ferarri Landau Once upon a time, there were five little piglets. Four of these piglets were pink with shiny coats, but the fifth piglet was a little different. Before that happened, he had an argument with his teacher, in which he exclaimed, “Get outta my face… or else you’ll be sorry” (p. 10). Mrs. Starch gave him a punishment of writing an essay about pimples (he was not paying attention, ate half a pencil, and was picking on a zit) and one day (when Mrs. Starch was not there - she is missing), he came into class and his “blazer was pressed and spotless, his khaki trousers were laundered and creased, and his necktie was perfectly knotted.
To begin with, the taste alone of school lunches is beyond unsatisfactory. The meals provided by public schools are not appetizing. There exists a tangible disconnect between the enticing, nutritious meals advertised on the school board’s menus and what the students actually receive—pathetic portions and lukewarm meals slapped onto a tray. Children’s complaints about school lunches are often seen as trite. However, while common, they are not any less accurate.
thus Principal and administrators finally noticed that kids hate their food and want the food that they will eat and not throw
