Throughout history we have seen events that have showed us a form of a movement or act for civil rights. In the the 1800's the African civil rights movement began, this movement lasted a long time in history. Many historians would argue that the civil rights movement started with the Montgomery bus boycott, and others would say it was when a 14 year old African American boy from Chicago was brutally murdered by two white grown men. But as far as we know this fight for justice goes far back to when the reconstruction started. With the political, social, and economical views on the Civil Rights Movement we will discover the leaders and events that led the Civil Right Movement to be successful. But if one had to pick two main events that lead to the Civil Rights Movement, I'd say the Jim Crow laws and segregation are two. With laws that enforce separation and practices of racist acts, it's in human nature for tensions to rise. Jim crow laws were laws that in force segregation within the state, but weren’t real federal laws. Segregation is when a certain group is separated from another group. Through the political view of segregation, and the social/economic view on Jim Crow laws, anyone can argue that those are the two most important events that led to the Civil Rights Movement. Although the political view of segregation you can see that this was one of the sparks that ignited the Civil Rights Movement. The politics to segregation were difficult to understand. But the lack of representation of the black race is what really led the frustration of it all. With no representation in the courts and in the law is was what made blacks feel less represented and more vulnerable when it came to the law. The reconstruction was complete fail in the history of the United States; yes it had its good parts like the freedom of the slaves and new rights for the people of the color community. But the bad part to it was that white people had their beliefs and they sure as hell didn’t think that whites and blacks should mix; with that idea in mind the white folks set out to make the life of black people impossible. But one example of the good was when the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments were passed; they were called the “Reconstruction Amendments” and it stated,”Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude...shall exist within the United States,”(13th Amendment: 1865). This was positive because for the first time in America at that time and action was taken that was actually beneficial to the people of color. This was big, but what is written in paper can’t always be fulfilled by the people. Everyone had their own beliefs at the time and white people strongly believe that black and whites do not belong together. This was a mutual feeling through out the white
