In order for human beings to understand their purpose for existence, individuals must question their religion, educational background, and the people that are sharing this information. By challenging ones former knowledge, individuals may discover that the information that they once thought to be true is actually flawed. As infants, human beings are unaware of the nature of the world; Beliefs and education are forced upon children until they are old enough to understand that it is their right to make his or her own decision. The first controversial topic young adults should question is religion. There are several different views about how the earth formed. Some people believe the Big Bang Theory caused the earth to form and some people that God created the Heavens and Earth. In my opinion, human beings were created to glorify God. According to the Holy Bible, “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man” Ecclesiastes …show more content…

Knowledge is determined the amount of schooling one has received and students are graded on 4.0 scale to determine if they understand what they have learned. Tradition Western Philosophies and Their Educational Implication claims that, “for other realist, knowledge is established by the scientific method” ( L. Dean Webb 56). For realist, knowledge is based on facts that can be proven. To contradict this belief about education, those who study Taoism believe that education is about learning how to live in harmony with oneself and nature. They believe individuals should force more on finding inner peace rather than studying someone else’s theory. I agree with both ideas because although it is great to learn facts about the universe, I believe that it is important not to get caught up in the branding idea of education because there is more to life that Mathematics and World History
