Christianity is a popular form and practice of monotheistic religion. It teaches about the existence of one mighty and sovereign God. Although they believe that there is one God, they also believe that there are two other parts to the picture. They see God as the one and only true living God that works with the “holy spirit” and “the son” (who is Jesus Christ). These three bodies working together are also known and referred to as the “Trinity.” One of the first symbols used to represent the Trinity was a triangle. God is the creator and author of the universe. As stated in Genesis 1:1 (KJV), “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Eventually God saw it fitting to create a man and woman, the beginning of the human creation. Genesis 1:26 (KJV) “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness...,” After sin entered into earth, God sent his only son to die for the sins of the people on earth. Which leads me to the second person in the trinity, the son. The son, Jesus Christ, is considered to be the second person in the trinity. Jesus Christ is the son of God who was sent from heaven to pay for the price for all sin. As stated in John 3:16 (KJV) “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” After Jesus spent between 32-33 years witnessing about God and heaven, he was crucified.
