The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Nighttime is a novel written by Mark Haddon. The storyline follows a young boy named Chrisopher Boone, who attempts to uncover the truth about who had killed the dog that he had found. The controversy had risen about this text when it became clear that the young boy had some level of autism, Despite being flooded with love and support from particular people it was overcome by the articles upon articles discrediting the text, stating that it was inaccurate and offensive. All attempting to depict the levels of offensiveness that followed during the text and the journeys with Christopher Boone. Despite having mixed messages about this text, facing a storm of controversy - I have obtained my personal opinion. Deciding if I personally find it levels with offensiveness regarding the autism community.. In my personal opinion I do not believe that I am entitled to one. This author is an advocate for autism; she focuses on adult-diagnosis and the culture. She has created a space where people with autism are able to confront the text and share their thoughts.
