Every day people rub shoulders against dozens of other people. Unaware of their life story or motives. Ignorant to what their intent might be or where they have come from. It is easy to assume that everyone you meet is just a regular human being but could they be more than the student, teacher or mailman you believe them to be? In the novel The Puppet Master, the earth is invaded by disgusting, parasitic aliens. These extraterrestrials systematically infect hundreds of humans in their impious plan to take over the world. Sam, a jack of all trades, capable, independent, dependable and resilient is one of the best secret agents that the curtain has to offer. Mary is a smart, beautiful heroine that works along Sam, helping him with her resourcefulness and attractiveness. These little slug like monstrosities, called infection forms and they are responsible for latching painfully into a host and burrowing deep into their necks. From there they can get control and infect your entire body. Although parasitic mind control may seem like something that belongs in a science fiction movie, it may not be so far from reality. A parasite known as a "Horsehair worm", will infect the bodies of unsuspecting insects growing up to be able to take control of the insects brain and forcing it to commit suicide where the worm will be able to move on its own. Parasites will sometimes alter the minds of their hosts removing the fear factor through hormones, allowing them to walk right into the hands of a predator where the chances of reproduction for the parasite are at its peak. While other organisms that don't appear to be parasites use the same tactics to reproduce like the wasps that will stab their tail into ladybugs and caterpillars ejaculating their larvae to live off the nutrients and protection of the insect hosts (Hackney ). The slug like parasite will infiltrate a human brain and use the body as a fragile shell, from where it can conduct its operations. Taking over a human being, the body will do and say what the parasite wants it to. In the novel the parasite was able to attach itself to the back of the head of a human host playing the part of the once soul inhabited body injecting jellyfish like into the abdomen for reproduction. A parasite controlled the human minds of dozens of human beings and made them appear as normal human beings swaying away anyone that tried to uncover the evidence of the extra terrestrials that were living within the
