Maya Plisetskaya performs Mikhail Fokine’s The Dying Swan ballet at age of 61 in a manner young dancers can look up to. Her arm movements are so smooth and subtle that they would make many younger professional dancers jealous.

Ballet requires skill, balance and flexibility that would be considered exceptional at any age, and the career of professional ballerina is usually over well before they’re on their 60s. Although, Plisetskaya might not be able demonstrate quite the same level of flexibility as some younger dancer, she’s able to pull it off convincingly.
