Tracey Lindberg’s novel Birdie is narratively constructed in a contorting and poetic manner yet illustrates the seriousness of violence experience by Indigenous females. The novel is about a young Cree woman Bernice Meetoos (Birdie) recalling her devasting past and visionary journey to places she has lived and the search for home and family. Lindberg captures Bernice’s internal therapeutic journey to recover from childhood traumas of incest, sexual abuse, and social dysfunctions. She also presents Bernice’s self-determination to achieve a standard of good health and well-being. The narrative presents Bernice for the most part lying in bed and reflecting on her dark life in the form of dreams.
In response to a flaw found in the school system, the author of “The Early Bird Gets the Bad Grade”, Nancy Kalish argues that in order for teenage students to reach their full potential and perform well throughout the school day, their early mornings should start later. In her article, she supports this argument by appealing to her readers using emotional appeals, asking rhetorical questions, and providing expert opinions. To begin, in the first paragraph, Kalish uses an emotional appeal, to appeal to her readers and impact their view of her argument. Meredith Hall is mother is faced with divorce in “Killing Chickens”. Isolated by the betrayal of her husband’s adultery with her best friend, she tackles the chores he left behind while celebrating her 38th birthday with her two sons. Throughout the story she allows herself to feel hurt, angry, and lost; crying frequently but putting on a happy face in front of the children, but overall Hall comes off as strong. By the end of a nightmare of a day she’s adjusted into what you might call survival mode, getting everything done that needs done and preparing to face the hardships that her tomorrow will bring.

One similarity between “The Ghost Bird” and “Following Boo” is the conflict. Both stories have the same point of view. In “The Ghost Bird” Mr. Tanner says that he had seen the ivory-billed woodpecker and everyone in town thinks he 's crazy,but hannah the one telling the story is trying to help Mr. Tanner find the bird.

The concept of authority being ruled by its followers, giving it power is highly depicted in the film Lord of the Flies by William Golding. Stranded on an island, a party of boys go back and forth between two rulers, each wanting power over the other. Roosevelt 's statement of how giving power to authority is a necessity is demonstrated throughout the film.
In Brothers Grimm, Fitcher’s Bird is told in a third person’s point of view and a past tense and an active voice. The characters in the story does not have names or an specific characteristics, but only have a title of what they are. Which the characters is just a she or he doing their things. The story have long sentences because majority of Brother’s grimm sentences are conjunction and compound complex sentences.

A Utopian Society is where everything runs smoothly and ]lawful while governed Carefully and equally. It is not possible to achieve a Utopian society in which every citizen is equal because Not everyone is a law abiding Citizen. So order can never be maintained.
The process that brought me to achieve a work placement officially started in October 2017. The main resources that I used during the process were either job search engine, LinkedIn, and friends or the Industry Engagement Office. Unfortunately, the first aforementioned resources were not so useful, due to the lack of internship positions, and when I applied to some of them I did not receive any reply back. Basically, it turned out that my only resources to have interviews was through to the Industry Engagement Office. I have been selected for four interviews but unfortunately, none of them were successful.
Psychological disorders are often overseen in movies. In the Black Swan the protagonist Nina Sayers beautifully and disturbingly portrays a person dealing with schizophrenia. In the psychological thriller Nina Sayers is a young dancer working in the prestigious New York City ballet. She is conflicted in being the good person she know she should be or the bad person her heart keeps leading her to be. Nina Sayers is very talented, but she is very reserved.
Birds are gifted with the extraordinary ability to fly. Their wings propel them above the ground and over people below. They are able to view the world from an angle that no one else gets to see. This is what makes birds and wings such powerful symbols in literature. These symbols characterize characters, move the plot and develop one more of the book’s ideas.
In the two poems Sympathy by Paul Laurence Dunbar and Caged Bird by Maya Angelou, gave a comparison between the life of a caged bird and the life of a slave. There are similarities and differences in the two poems.
