The overall purpose of this investigation was to determine the effects of different types of environments on pill bug attractancy. Pill bugs were exposed to 2 different environments (sugar and water). The attractancy was observed and recorded in a raw data table. A research hypothesis was formulated that the sugar would work as the best attractant for pill bugs. Sugar had the greatest impact of the two environments used because it attracted 8/9 ants.
In this experiment, Pill bugs were exposed to different environments within a closed space and observed to determine which environment they preferred. The four different environments tested consisted of flowers, dirt, grass, and an empty space. Ten pill bugs were placed within the shoe box and observed for a total of 15 minutes to determine what environment the bugs preferred. The independent variables were the different conditions in each section of the shoe box, while the dependent variable was the behavior the pill bugs displayed. Throughout the experiment, the control variable was the empty section of the shoe box.
When the ball hits the ground its kinetic energy is turned into elastic energy this makes the ball flatten out. Then that elastic energy is converted right back into kinetic energy when it goes up. So the more kinetic energy a ball gets when it is dropped the more energy it will have when it hits the ground which will give it more energy when it is headed back up therefore making it bounce higher.

The essay “Science: It’s Just not Fair”, by Dave Barry, some truths about science fairs that many students have to participate in are brought out. Barry starts the essay with the beginning of the science fair project process, which is usually put off until the last minute. He sarcastically and ironically describes the process as a student who is rushing to do their project the night before the due date. Barry also includes and comments on the the ironic importance of the hypothesis and conclusion in the science fair process, showing how they usually very vague statements. He also gives examples of his wife’s and his own last-minute science fair projects that they threw together quickly before the due date.
Based on the results of the Milgram Experiment and basic human nature, the story of Lord of The Flies would not have changed if girls had been stranded on the island instead of boys. My first piece of evidence comes from the Milgram experiment in which subjects were given the role as a teacher. Every Time one of their students said a wrong answer, they were to give them a shock with increasing voltage with each wrong answer. One of the important things that was noted in the TED talk was that women were as willing to go to the maximum voltage as the men were. This means that in general, women are as likely to use the full extent of their power as men are.
The golf ball would fly down a race track and then set off another mousetrap. Next, the mousetrap would pull a string out of a book which would close the book on top of scissors. Finally, the scissors would cut a string which is holding up a dumbbell and the dumbbell would crack the egg which is sitting in a bowl. This is the project we decided to design in order to crack our egg.

In this egg drop project, a container was built to house one egg and was then dropped at various heights. The purpose of this lab was to find how impact time affected the force with which an object, the egg container, hits another surface as the momentum moves to zero. Our hypothesis states that if the impact time is stretched longer then the force exerted on the egg would decrease, making the egg less likely to break. The independent variables for the egg drop project was the height at each drop; the dependent variables were impact time and survival of the egg. The controls were mass, design of the container, and the egg.

My idea for a hot rod car that counteracts the physics of a car crash is, a hot rod made out of Plastic, Wood, Foam, Cotton balls, Crochet egg holder, popsicle sticks, that will withstand 4 crashes at 30 degrees, 35 degrees, 40 degrees, 45 degrees, and can travel a great distance. Newton's first law of motion comes into play when the car crashes because without any type of “seat belt” securing in the rider, egg. My idea to hold an egg in place is to glue down a crochet egg holder with eye hole, so when the car crashes the egg will stay in place, because when a car crashes, it will crash at the speed the car is moving, and the egg would crash at the same speed the car is moving without anything holding it in pace, so the crocheted egg holder would hold the egg in place, so it does not break the egg.

Potential Energy is when an object contains energy because of the position of the object. Therefore, a roller coaster shows potential energy when a roller coaster is pulled up by chains that are under the roller coaster, the roller coaster then begins to gain potential energy.
As the marble slides down the first drop it will lose much of its potential energy corresponding to the loss of height. The marble subsequently gains kinetic energy – kinetic energy is contingent to the mass and the velocity of an object. The marble speeds up as it loses height, consequently, their potential energy is transformed into kinetic energy. Newton’s Second Law states that an object’s net external force is equal to its mass times its acceleration; simply, the acceleration is proportional to the force applied and also the mass of the object.
