Do not underestimate the power and determination of a mongoose. Never give up when people doubt you. When an enemy is on a mission to hurt their families they will do whatever it takes to protect their family and keep the enemies away. Rikki-Tikki’s human family was in danger of harm, but Rikki Tikki did whatever it took to protect them and keep them from harm. He was underestimated by his enemies, but they regret that because now they are forever dead.

They both were wanting to take apart of Rikki Tikki. She wanted to take Rikki Tikki’s human family. Rikki Tikki came up with a plan to kill Nagaina. He got her back to the house and he had one of her precious eggs. Nagaina was going to strike at Teddy and kill the rest of the family, but Rikki Tikki had a plan. He got Nagaina to turn around while he was holding one of her eggs. She said she would stay away forever if Rikki Tikki gave her the egg. He refused because he knew if he gave her the egg and let her go they would try to hurt his human family when they least expected it. Also Nagaina made the garden scared and he had to stop that. Rikki Tikki has to make sure that if Nagaina raised all 26 of the eggs they would become just as bad as their father and mother. Rikki Tikki wanted to make sure that no cobra would ever try to hurt his human family, or any living being in the garden. So, he ate every last egg.
