The engineers had voiced concern, but nobody listened. Just 73 seconds after the launch, the Challenger exploded, shooting debris 20 miles above earth, and killing the 7 crew members, including the teacher astronaut. I have learned about what caused the Challenger to explode, and all the effects that came after. On January 28, 1986, Ronald Reagan addressed a shocked nation the night after the Space Shuttle, Challenger, exploded 73 seconds into its flight. Resulting in failure of some O-ring seals, the right side booster pivoted around the exterior of the shuttle and struck the external tank inter-tank area, resulting in an explosion. This fire is all the acculations and fighting going on throughout the world. It also shows that even though we didn’t start the fire we did try to fight it. The “Terror on the Airline” reference, is used from 1964 to 1989 because there has been multiple airline attacks. I picked the two most popular stories at this time to describe the fire brewing between countries. In 1976 and 1988, one very horrific and the other extremely deadly took place which has helped round out the flaws of our airline systems in the world

When flying on a plane many might be scared for ones life when soaring through the sky at such altitude, but with the chance of losing your life being only at one in a 11 million it is unlikely anything would happen (curiosity.com). Tragically this one in a 11 million chance happened to everyone on TWA Flight 800, with the odds in their favor this became a national mystery for the cause of this intentional or unintentional mishap. The aircraft and the cause for the explosion was a question from the beginning and has stayed unsolved to this day.
