Moreover, Cocaine was not perfect drug as people think it was. Many people were getting addiction or side effect because of using it in a long time even for the medicine purpose. The first American case of cocaine poisoning and addiction was medical in character, involving patients because doctor who had used too much drug or used it so often (force of habit/ p.50-51). By the mid-1890, cocaine sniffing and injecting had spread to the underworld, so many people had more opportunity to buy this drug, especially young people who had a lack of knowledge about the dangerous of the drug and want to try the “amazing” feeling. They think they will have more energy, more happiness, and a pleasure feeling when they use this drug. Thus, a lot people used the drug at that time, so they get addicted and depend on it, and this result created many crimes, society issues, and economic problem. People spend time to use cocaine instead of going to work, they could become a crime when they need money to buy the drug, and they could not control their behavior when they “get high” by using the drug. Drug could be used as medicine to help people, but it also become “a poison” that could destroy a people’s life if they do not use it in a right way, and became addicted to the drug. Moreover, to get more benefits, people started illegal drug trading from cities to cites, countries to countries without caring any negative effect to others, society, but themselves. Those actions cause a lot of dead of people, society problems, and economic crisis. Moreover, drug trafficking is not just happened in the past, but it is still happening around the world nowadays.
