The Great Gatsby could be a story told by Nick Carraway, WHO was once Gatsby's neighbor, and he tells the story someday once 1922, once the incidents that fill the book happen. because the story opens, Nick has simply moved from the Midwest to West Egg, Long Island, seeking his fortune as a bond salesperson. Shortly once his arrival, Nick travels across the Sound to the additional trendy East Egg to go to his full cousin flower President Buchanan and her husband, Tom, a hulking, imposing man whom Nick had notable in school. There he meets linksman Jordan Baker. The Buchanans and Jordan Baker live privileged lives, contrastive sharply in sensibility and luxury with Nick's less significant and grounded manner. once Nick returns home that evening, he notices his neighbor, Gatsby, cryptically standing within the dark and …show more content…

On one fateful day, the most popular and most unendurable of the summer, Gatsby and Nick journey to East Egg to own lunch with the Buchanans and Jordan Baker. laden by the warmth, flower suggests they take solace in an exceedingly trip to town. now not concealment her love for Gatsby, flower pays him special attention and Tom dexterously picks informed what is going on on. because the party prepares to go away for town, Tom fetches a bottle of hard drink. Tom, Nick, and Jordan drive in Gatsby's automotive, whereas Gatsby and flower drive Tom's motorcar. Low on gas, Tom stops Gatsby's automotive at Wilson's gasoline station, wherever he sees that Wilson isn't well. Like Tom, WHO has simply learned of Daisy's affair, Wilson has simply learned of Myrtle's secret life ? though he doesn't grasp WHO the person is ? and it's created him physically sick.
