In the middle of the Roaring Twenties, a great book emerged about the lavish lifestyle of the time. The Great Gatsby, written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is a novel from the Lost Generation that tells the story of a man who moved to New York in a neighborhood of the richest of the time. The story starts with the Narrator, Nick, moving into New York City, he decides to have dinner with his cousin Daisy who lives across the bay, at dinner he finds out that Tom, Daisy’s husband is having an open affair with a woman in the City. The next day, Tom picks up Nick, and they drive into the city where they meet up with Myrtle, the woman Tom is having an affair with. Jordan tells Nick that Gatsby and Daisy used to date, but after Gatsby went off to war, Daisy couldn’t wait anymore, married Tom, and Gatsby’s been looking ever since for someone who knows Daisy. Nick hosts a tea party for Daisy and Gatsby to get together, they start awkward with each other but end up being very close and head to Gatsby’s house and show off everything Gatsby has. The reader then learns that Gatsby isn’t his real name but Jay Gats, he is from a poor family but ran away and met up with a business owner named Dan Cody, Cody teaches Gatsby how to be a gentleman, Gatsby changes his whole identity and meets Daisy who he falls in love with. Tom and Daisy attend Gatsby’s party one night, but Daisy runs off with Gatsby alone, Tom doesn’t like Gatsby at all because of this. Nick rides over to Daisy’s house where Gatsby and Jordan already are, they head into the city in two cars one with Gatsby and Daisy, while the other with Tom, Nick, and Jordan, at the apartment, Tom and Gatsby get into a heated argument over Daisy where Gatsby exposes that he is not Jay
